Basics:
1) Your loop should be a full green loop. If it looks like a horseshoe, then go to Settings and select Closed Loop.
Changing your pod:
2) Select Replace Pod in pod settings and follow the directions on the screen.
Changing your Dexcom sensor:
3) Change as normal. No action to take with Loop.
Changing your Dexcom transmitter:
4) Change the transmitter using the Dexcom app on your phone by following the directions on the screen.
5) In Loop under settings, select Delete CGM to remove your old transmitter. Then select Add CGM and enter your new transmitter number (G6) or wait for Loop to find your new CGM (G7).
Problems with Loop – Yellow or Red Loop:
6) Make sure your phone and RileyLink, not applicable if using the Omnipod DASH, are in your possession.
7) Close both your Loop and G6 apps by swiping them up. Re-open your Loop app and touch where your blood glucose value normally is to open your Dexcom app. Wait for next Loop update (up to 5 minutes). This action seems to resolve a majority of the issues, if not proceed to item 8).
8) Touch yellow or red loop and read pop-up box.
9) If it is a problem with your pump, then bring your RileyLink very close (within a foot or so) to your pod. Touch the yellow or red loop and select Retry in the pop-up box, if available, or wait for next Loop update (up to 5 minutes). If that doesn’t work, then turn your RileyLink off then back on. Wait a minute for the RileyLink to reconnect. Touch the yellow or red loop and select Retry in the pop-up box, if available, or wait for next Loop update (up to 5 minutes).
10) If it is a problem with your Dexcom or blood glucose values, then check the Dexcom app to make sure your Dexcom is working properly and, if not, follow the directions on your Dexcom app including turning Bluetooth off then back on. If your Dexcom appears to be working correctly, then check that the transmitter number in the Dexcom app matches the transmitter number in the Loop app. If the transmitter numbers do not match, then complete item 5) above and wait for the next Loop update (up to 5 minutes). If the transmitter numbers match, then close both your Loop and Dexcom apps by swiping them up. Re-open your Loop app and touch where your blood glucose value normally is to open your Dexcom app. Wait for next Loop update and hopefully your blood glucose value shows up on the Loop app. Your loop should turn green shortly.
11) If items 9) and/or 10) are unsuccessful or the pop-up box displays some other issue, then close both your Loop and Dexcom apps by swiping them up. Turn your phone off and back on. Open your Loop app and touch where your blood glucose value normally is to open your Dexcom app. Wait for next Loop update.
